Stuart was first exposed to the exciting world of standardized testing when he wrote the LSAT in 1988. After scoring a perfect 48 (yes, he's so old that he wrote the LSAT before it was scored on the 120-180 scale), Stuart joined the Kaplan Centre in Toronto as both a GMAT and an LSAT instructor. Kaplan was kind enough to open its Vancouver centre the same year that Stuart started law school at the University of British Columbia and he taught the GMAT and LSAT all the way through law school as well.

After graduation, Stuart started in a traditional law career - articling with a downtown firm, writing his bar exams and then joining the firm as an associate lawyer. 3 years as a litigator in a big firm was enough for Stuart to realize that he enjoyed teaching a lot more than lawyering, so he returned to Kaplan part time while exploring a multitude of other options. In addition to teaching everything from French to computers to bridge, Stuart's done time as an entrepreneur, private investigator and circus acrobat (well, maybe he made that last one up). Over the years Stuart has also contributed to Kaplan's LSAT and GMAT curricula.

Eventually, Stuart's test-prep geekiness led him to accept a full time position with Kaplan as Academic Coordinator for the Toronto Centre, which oversees the Kaplan Centres in a good chunk of Canada. Stuart is also Kaplan's admissions expert for Canadian law and business schools.

Except for his foray to Vancouver for law school and some recreational traveling, Stuart has spent his entire life in Toronto and loves it there. Outside the office, Stuart is a computer and game enthusiast and vows to continue playing ultimate frisbee until his body refuses to cooperate.
